Career Opportunities in criminal justice at University of Durham, United Kingdom
In recent years we have seen a significant expansion in career opportunities for graduates whose first degree is in criminology or a criminology-related area. One dimension to this has been the increased spending on the criminal justice system in the UK, and employment opportunities here include policing, the courts, prisons, probation and youth offending. We have also seen an increase in community regeneration and community-based projects, together with a growth in local authority personnel specialising in crime, disorder and community safety; these developments have created a range of career opportunities for criminology graduates.
