Master of Criminal Justice in Juvenile Justice Education at St. Ambrose University Iowa

The Master of Criminal Justice in Juvenile Justice Education is an interdisciplinary program designed for individuals seeking to work with incarcerated youth in an educational setting and criminal justice and correctional professionals interested in working with youth in human service and community settings. Its focus is on providing knowledge and understanding of youthful offenders involved in the criminal justice system and how this impacts the education environment and process.

The curriculum includes courses in criminal justice and education that are designed to meet the program objectives. The student can choose either the Practitioner or Research option depending upon the student’s interests and career goals. The practitioner option requires 46 semester hours of coursework and successful completion of a comprehensive examination. The research option requires 52 credit hours of course work and a thesis.

Master of Science in Criminal Justice at Anna Maria College, Massachusetts

The Master of Science in Criminal Justice program is designed to prepare students for professions in criminal justice while enhancing the academic and professional knowledge of those who are already employed in the field. The curriculum engages students in the exploration of the relationship between theory and practice; the issues inherent in focusing on one over the other and the complexities of searching for answers to crime problems in an area so closely tied to social, political and economic factors. Students study both ethics and theory throughout the curriculum, integrating the two as they inform policy and decision-making.

The criminal justice program at AMC is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education for participation in the Police Career Incentive Pay Program established by the Quinn Bill.

Award : Master of Science with specialisation in Criminology shall be awarded to all the successful candidates by The Global Open University, Nagaland. They will also be eligible for admission in the M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree programmes in the relevant Schools and Faculties at The Global Open University.

Teaching Methodology : The Central Despatch Unit of The Global Open University, Nagaland will accord admission to the students and provide all facilities including counselling, identity cards, lessons, guidance, assignment sheets etc.

The first instalment of Rs. 4,625 is payable at the time of admission. The remaining three instalments of Rs. 4500 is payable every six months. Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled in alongwith four stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and a Bank Draft for the first instalment of fee in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland” payable at Dimapur must reach The Admissions Officer, The Global Open University Nagaland, Opp. Railway Station, Dimapur - 797112, Nagaland by registered/speed post only.

Submission of Assignments : All admitted students are required to submit their assignments for all the subjects of the M.Sc. Degree programme in fulfilment of the requirements of 30 marks each paper. For this, they have to prepare Mini Project Reports based on a topic of their choice for all subjects of M.Sc.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 150 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the examination.

Confirmation of Admission : The admission will be confirmed after the completed admission form is received by the University. The Identity Card and the Set of Study Materials will be sent within a month.
